Madiou joined the Army prior to the war breaking out. In his career with The Big Red One, he fought in North Africa, Sicily and through Europe. He was in the original wave on D Day at Normandy. Madiou was severely injured at the Battle of the Bulge and sent back home after 5 years of battle. Sergeant Madiou was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and 2 Silver Stars. Stephen is the President and founder of Professional Resources Inc. (PRI).

This company began as a contract staffing business which he was a Recruiter from June 1983 – August 2007. Stephen did very well for these years in the Recruiting field. In the summer of 2007 business was very slow and new systems were used in the recruiting field, so he decided to move on to another business venture.

In August 2007, PRI switched to become a medical courier service. During this time Stephen did courier
work for Walgreen Home Infusions Service and Option Care until April 2015. This was a very successful
time with all the deliveries that were made for Infusion Services. After Option Care purchased Walgreen

Home Infusions Service in 2015, Option Care cut costs and no longer used courier services. The courier service is still going strong and was very busy throughout the Covid Pandemic picking up and dropping off Covid tests for many school systems in and around the Boston, MA area. Covid testing was over in 2022, and Stephen continues to work the courier business on a part time basis.

In April 2021, Stephen was approached to look into the United Financial Freedom program, this is a debt elimination company. Since that time to present, Stephen has been a consultant in the Debt Elimination Industry; United Financial Freedom (UFF) is located in Utah. Stephen finds this position very satisfying, in which he can help people get their debts eliminated. It is a great feeling to get a potential candidate set up when they actually do an analysis and see what shape they are in financially and Stephen can guide them on how to get their debt straighten out with The UFF program.

Prior to opening PRI back in 1983, Stephen was a member of United States Coast Guard and received an Honorable Discharge. He was stationed mainly in the East Coast during his service. Some of his duties included Law Enforcement, Port Security, Search and Rescue and Recruiting. Stephen enjoyed his time in the USCG but unfortunately he had to retire after 16 years of service due to a service connected medical issue. He is a lifelong member of the DAV and member of the American Legion. After retirement from USCG, Stephen went back to Northeastern University, Boston, MA, part time on the GI Bill and obtain a BS, Fine Arts degree, and he graduated Cum Laude. After graduation, Stephen became a member of Sigma Epsilon Rho Honor Society and eventually became President of the Honor Society for 2 years.
